All-Ceramic (Porcelain) Crowns
An all-ceramic (porcelain) crown is a tooth-shaped restoration that
surrounds all sides of natural tooth and ends at the gum line. Because
no metal is used in the crown, there is no "gray shadow" at the gum
line. An all-ceramic (porcelain) crown strengthens, as well as beautifies,
the tooth with a truly natural appearance.
A porcelain veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is bonded to
the surface of a tooth using sophisticated adhesive technologies. A
veneer is frequently used to change the size, shape and/or color of
a tooth.
